Raliegh, N.C. - According to the latest Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey released today, prospective Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson has moved into the lead in the North Carolina Republican Primary. Thompson's support jumped from 25% of likely Republican voters in May to 37% in this month's poll, ousting Rudy Giuliani from the lead.
Guiliani's support fell to 25%, with John McCain and Mitt Romney both with 14%. Nine percent of Republicans said they supported a candidate other than the four mentioned, and and 1% said they were undecided...
